Although I grew up in San Antonio, I have always called Llano county home base. My dad and mom are Carroll and Jo-Anne Osbourn and my dad’s family has been a part of Llano county in the Esbon and Valley Springs areas since the 1800s. My daddy was born in a small farmhouse right next to San Fernando creek just off the south end of Smoothing Iron mountain. So, I have a great love for what my grandmother would call “the beautiful hills of home".
I graduated from Judson High School in San Antonio and then went on to spend a career in the Army where I served as an enlisted soldier, chief warrant officer, and commissioned officer spending most of my career in the Aviation Branch as an attack helicopter pilot. My family and I were so fortunate to live in many wonderful places here in the states and overseas. I served in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I retired in 2008, and then moved to Oregon and began a career in higher education. There I served in various roles, as a faculty member, continuing education training coordinator, academic program director, dean, and chief academic officer of a two-year college. Along the way, I picked up degrees from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Austin Peay State University, and Tarleton State University. I’m definitely a proud Tarleton Texan! I returned to Texas in 2018 and now reside in our home place out toward Valley Springs.
I have four wonderful children. Amber, Brittany, Daniel, and Timothy, with my oldest being 28 and the youngest 10. There are so many things I love about the home here in Llano. As a child, I came here for family and adventure…playing in the creeks, climbing trees, hunting, and swimming and fishing in the river and lakes. As an adult, I always came home to find rest with family and to fill up my senses with the richness of my roots. I am so thankful for the rich blessings that that this beautiful county in the center of Texas has provided throughout my life. I look forward to helping others find a home or piece of land in a place that my family has always received the richest of blessings. I look forward to partnering with you for your real estate needs.
