I was born and raised on a ranch in Llano and, like many country kids, I couldn’t wait to get away and see the world. After graduating from Llano High School, I attended college in Illinois where I received a degree in Environmental Science. After college, I lived in St. Louis, Missouri; Portland, Oregon; Leelanau, Michigan; and ultimately San Diego, California. I traveled extensively to South America, Asia, and Europe, and I became an entrepreneur and a surfer. After more than 20 years away from Llano, I finally returned with fresh eyes- able to see what it was that attracts so many people to our quaint town and to the beautiful Hill Country. I now live on the family ranch north of Llano in Babyhead, which has been in my family for over a hundred years.
