Pedernales Falls State Park is another spectacular outdoor wonderland if you’ve tired of the delights of lake LBJ. With its access to hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, swimming, and horseback riding, along with the spectacular 50-foot drop of Pedernales Falls, nature lovers will find so much to love on a visit here.

Also located along the Pedernales River, the Hamilton Pool Preserve is a picture-perfect swimming hole with a secluded cave and waterfall where you can enjoy a picnic on the beach, or for more adventurous souls, dive off the rocks into the cool waters below.
