This restaurant is very popular among locals, so it is a great place to meet some friends for dinner and drinks. Boaters Bistro on Lake LBJ is a must-visit if you want dinner with a view. This fun seafood bistro offers guest waterfront seating and a wide variety of culinary choices. Their new Akaushi steak menu is a local favorite, and you can pair your meal with a refreshing glass of wine from their wine cellar.
 
Lake LBJ was created as a result of the Granite Shoals reservoir and was named after the 36th President Lyndon B Johnson, who got his start in Texas as a senator. This lake is a popular gathering spot for Sunrise Beach residents to enjoy fishing, sailing, swimming, and other recreational activities. Boating is a favorite pastime among residents, and many people have boat ramps in their backyards. Boating enthusiasts can take their vessels for a spin around the lake or enjoy a slower float down the Llano River.

Sunrise Beach is known for being a close-knit community that supports all walks of life. The Sip and Stroll in Sunrise Beach hosts art exhibits for local artists and wine from local wineries to raise money for the Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department. This event showcases all types of art mediums from paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and much more. There is even a silent auction for guests to bid on unique crafts and art pieces.
 
There is no shortage of public parks in Sunrise Beach for residents to spend time in nature, and Sunrise Beach City Parks consists of five full-size outdoor parks around the town. McNair Park has boat ramps and two piers so visitors can bring their boats or kayaks and enjoy a day on the lake. This park is also great for fishing and swimming as the docks provide shelter from the winds.
 
East Lakeshore Park also has piers and boat ramps essential for sailing. This park offers a playground and pavilion perfect for family gatherings or celebrations. Visitors of Granite Shoals Lake Estate Park can admire the lake's natural beauty, have a picnic with friends, or go for a dip in the water. Sandy Park and Timbercove Park are two of the few parks without a boat ramp, but Sandy Park has a huge sand bar, so it is still a great fishing location. There is also an abundance of trees and greenery, creating a gorgeous backdrop for lakeside activities. These parks, along with the others, provide clean public restrooms so guests can feel comfortable.
