The biggest celebration of the year is going to happen soon in Kingsland! July 4th is recognized as the day the Declaration of Independence was signed and made known. It's a day to honor this great nation we live in, and the freedom and pride we have in America. We have been through a lot, and the resilience and resourcefulness of the American people shines through it all!
Aqua Boom in Kingsland has been a tradition for over 50 years, and it's a HUGE celebration with something for everyone. This year is bigger than ever, with three parades, an arts and crafts show, a patriotic costume contest, a classic car show, live music and entertainment, charity dinners, a golf tournament, a pageant, a poker run, horseshoe and washer tournaments, street dances, a rubber ducky race......and don't forget, FIREWORKS! Aqua Boom Fireworks are always spectacular, the best in the Hill Country. And, there's nothing like viewing them from your boat or the Llano River bridge over Lake LBJ.
Boat Town, near the Llano River bridge, is right on the water and you can grab a burger or pizza before the show - https://www.boattownburgerbar.com/.
Wakepoint, near the Colorado River bridge on FM 1431, is also a hopping place to be, featuring music and events - https://wakepointlbj.com/
It's the best small town fun to be had anywhere. If you want to celebrate America's freedom in style, be sure to come to Kingsland! For a schedule of events, check out their website : https://www.kingslandaquaboom.org/.
Hope to see you there!
